So you need music in your production? Well, this can get complicated quickly. The best thing to do is give us a call to discuss how we can get you the right thing. Here are few options at you disposal.

Custom Music

Scoring a piece of music custom from scratch is something we love to do. We have a staff composer and connections to freelancers and bar piano players. What does it cost? Well, you gotta give a little info first.

Semi-Custom Music

This is a hybrid use of stock music, some of our cool toys and a little smoke and mirrors. This is a great way to go if the budget and timeline are tight, but you do not want an off the shelf solution.

Library Music

Dont turn you nose up yet! The production libraries these days sound great and this can be a cost effective solution. We have a dedicated library room with over 4000 discs on shelves from KPM, Bruton, Sonoton, Carlin, Kosinos, West One, Ded Good, Theme Intl., Valentino, Chapell, DeWolfe, Manhattan, Network, Telemusic, Capitol, Killer Tracks, Liquid Trax, Metro, Extreme Music and Who Did That. We have hundreds of vinyl records that were never released on CD. And of course, we have nearly everything in digital form so that you can search a database if you prefer.

So what is this info we keep asking about? You will need to know where the music will be performed and for how long. Will there be royalties granted? What is the style, length and format? What is the deadline? Finally, you will need to know your budget.

When it comes to library music, the music production libraries classify the usage into categories. These categories can get confusing quickly, but its our job to help you find the correct category. Some examples are: Commercials (Broadcast), PSAs, Corporate/in-house Presentation Linear (Non-Broadcast), Production Blankets (unlimited needledrops from same library company), Production for Sale or Promotion, Interactive Media, Web based commercials, Webisodes, Broadcast Programs, Theatrical, Promos, On-hold, 900 numbers, In-flight, Museums, Film festivals, Student films, Future media.
